I have a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications, and focus on print journalism, from the University of West Georgia where I now work. An English instructor, I teach introductory courses and film but can tutor a range of subjects. I help those struggling with writing. Other topics include reading, phonics, grammar, literature, and college essays and I can also cover history, social studies, and creative writing. I teach students from the sixth grade on up and cover AP courses and ACT/SAT prep as well.For some people, learning can be frustrating. It is worth it to me when that light bulb turns on and I can see their grades improve. I believe education is needed for all parts of life regardless of what field a student wants to work in. This is what I communicate to everybody while accommodating how each individual learns. In addition to living by my philosophies and teaching/tutoring, I work as a newspaper film critic in my spare time. I enjoy television, movies, music, books, and other aspects of pop culture. I'm also into baseball and college football.
